The house has undergone several modifications: With partial street frontage, the inner colonnaded Verandah has been enclosed to face the forecourt. The entrance gate has been changed as well . The house was renovated in 2009 since it holds all the essential elements of French colonial architecture, such as arrangement of windows, cornice, pilasters, bent window bars and sunshades. Situated in a corner plot, the building enhances the streetscape character through the large facade conforming to the predominant architectural style and character of the precinct.
